Design and features:The earphones have an integrated microphone and touch sensitive volume, music player, and call connect/disconnect controls for paired Bluetooth devices. The right earphone can be used alone for one ear monitoring of Bluetooth streamed audio and for telephone communications, and manufacturer claimed water resistance. carrying case/charging cradle has built-in rechargeable battery The Indy comes with three pairs of ear pieces in various sizes, one pair of removable ear bowl supports, a USB charging cable, and a charging cradle/recharger battery/carrying case that the manufacture claims can be used to recharge the earphone batteries three times between its own charges.
Sound quality: We found the Indy delivers sound quality that falls in the Very Good range - it reproduces music and voice very well although it does have some noticeable sonic quirks. The overall sound can be summarized as bassy and somewhat hazy. Bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has good impact and goes fairly deep, but ranges from prominent and boomy to excessively prominent and boomy. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is fairly even, but is somewhat hazy and congested (think sonic traffic jam), and a bit grainy. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is fairly extended but is slightly sizzly (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer have a sound reminiscent of bacon frying). While they do a decent job of recovering the room ambience of a recording (the sense of the acoustic space in which the audio program that's being listened to was recorded), the sound has only a so-so sense of liveliness and is somewhat closed (sound-wise it's fairly obvious you have something plugging your ears).
Comfort: As typical of in-ear models they produce a sense of pressure in the ear canal opening might be uncomfortable for some. Users with small earbowls might find that the earphone body does not fit securely into their earbowl with the earbowl supports in place, but they fit securely and are very stable even during vigorous head movement once the earbowl supports are removed. Users with medium and larger sized ear bowls will probably find that this model fits and stays in place with no problems for casual use and that they are very stable even during vigorous head movement. Incidental contact with the touch controls can cause unintentional track pause, playback, skipping, or volume level changes.
