Sound quality:We found the WI-C100 delivers sound quality that falls in the very good range - it reproduces music and voice very well although it does have some noticeable sonic quirks. With the Sony Headphones Connect app set with the Equalizer off and clear bass set to 0 (as received state of the earphone) the bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has good impact and goes deep, but is a bit prominent and boomy. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is even, but is somewhat grainy, hazy, and congested (think sonic traffic jam). The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is extended, but a bit subdued and smeared, and a touch sizzly (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer have a sound reminiscent of bacon frying). While the sound has a decent sense of liveliness, it is somewhat closed (sound-wise it's fairly obvious you have something plugging your ears), does a decent job of recovering room ambience. Warmish character. The overall sound can best be summarized as somewhat hazy and grainy, and a bit bassy. The Sony Headphones Connect app EQ controls had a noticeable effect on the sound.
Comfort and Fit:As typical of in-ear models they produce a sense of pressure in the ear canal opening that might be uncomfortable for some.
Fits and stays in place with no problem for casual use for users with smaller to large sized ear canals.
The sound of the earphone connecting cable rubbing on clothing may be heard through the earphones by some users depending on the clothing it's rubbing on.
