Design and features:These headphones can be used wirelessly with Bluetooth devices or can be cord connected. When cord connected they have medium sensitivity so they can provide satisfying volume levels when used with home audio equipment and all but the lowest-powered portable audio devices. The Move Style Edition has an integrated microphone and volume, music player function, and call connect/disconnect controls for use with paired Bluetooth devices. This model comes with a detachable 47-inch long standard audio cable and a USB charging cable.
Sound quality: When the Move Style Edition was wirelessly connected to Bluetooth devices we found that it delivers sound quality that falls in the Very Good range - it reproduces music and voice very well although it does have some noticeable sonic quirks. The overall sound can be summarized as somewhat bassy and hazy. The bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has good impact and goes deep, but is boomy and somewhat prominent. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is fairly even, but somewhat hazy and grainy, and a touch congested (think sonic traffic jam). The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is fairly even and extended, but is slightly smeared (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer sound blurred). While the sound has a good sense of liveliness and this model does a decent job of recovering the room ambience of a recording (the sense of the acoustic space in which the audio program that's being listened to was recorded), it is somewhat closed sounding (sound-wise it's fairly obvious you have something covering your ears). When the headphones are cord connected the sound quality drops to the Fair range - the sound becomes more hazy, more congested, and takes on a bit of a plastic resonance (something like what you would hear if you talked into a semi-rigid plastic cup).
Comfort: We found that these headphones produce a sense of moderate pressure on the ears. As typical of on-ear models the pads might feel hot and/or sticky after prolonged use. Some users might find that the headphones feel unstable and shift forward a bit when they lean far forward. When wearing this model while walking the vibrations from each foot step can be heard faintly through the headphones; when it is cord connected the sound of the audio cable rubbing on clothing may also be heard faintly through the headphones.
