    Detailed Test Results

The Eureka Groove NER300 glided over debris instead of sucking it up. Its brushroll, suction strength and side brush were not impactful in removing hair from the test carpet. It needed multiple passes in order to pick up pet hair, and when it did the hair got stuck in the side brush, brushroll and wheel. One plus is that the hair was easy for testers to remove. It spent prolonged periods of time idling in the corners. It tried to hug walls and corners but got stuck bumping and turning and its shape is a disadvantage when cleaning tight areas. Its one side brush is weak and barely touched the edges of the test area. The vac uses a random pattern and scattered debris from edges out into the middle of the floor but neglected to go back and pick it up. Its suction and brushroll weren't effective at picking up sand which affected its Bare Floor score. It needed multiple tries to get over electrical cords. The side brush tugged at the cords and will most likely drag any cords in a real home setting. It was able to climb over a .75 inch threshold after a few attempts. It would not travel over a square of matte black carpet in the lab. Features: Cleaning Modes: Standard, Max suction. Manual, Auto, Spot, Edge modes. Adjustable suction controls. About

The Eureka Groove NER300 is part of the Vacuum Cleaners test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, Robotic Vacuums models like the Groove NER300 are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.

Carpet: Shows how much surface litter (cereal, rice, and peas) and embedded dust the vacuum picked up from a medium-pile carpet.

Bare floors: Indicates the vacuum's ability to remove surface debris from a bare laminate floor.

Navigation: A composite score that includes combined coverage over multiple runs, clearance under furniture and obstacle and entrapment avoidance.
