Sound quality: Klipsch's The Three II had Good overall sound quality. The bass has good impact and goes deep but boomy and somewhat prominent. The midrange is fairly even but somewhat hazy, and the lower midrange is overwhelmed by the bass and upper midrange is a bit edgy. Treble is fairly extended but sizzly and somewhat prominent. It overall does a so-so job of recovering room ambience; and is somewhat hazy and lacks some detail. Although it is a stereo model, there isn't much apparent stereo separation unless you are very close to the front of the enclosure. No significant difference in quality between Bluetooth, USB and line input sound quality. Provides a decent volume level in a large sized room.
Ease of use: We found the Klipsch The Three II ease of use to be Very Good overall. Bluetooth pairing requires a long press of an unmarked multifunction button (source knob), shows a pairing mode indicator and indicates when pairing has occurred. The volume control knob is in a prominent place has a speaker symbol label which has good contrast, no index markings but has visual indication of when you reach the max settings. The control works with all sources - Bluetooth, line in, USB and Phono inputs. Switching between sources is very easy - Bluetooth, Aux, USB and phono inputs requires the turn of a selection knob where there are clear indicators of the selected inputs using good contrast labeling.
