With its latest satellite TV plan, Dish Network is once again targeting a younger, cost-conscious audience. Priced at $40 per month, the Dish TV Flex Pack offers 50 channels, including A&E, AMC, Cartoon Network, CNN, Discovery, Food Network, FX, HGTV, TNT, TV Land, and USA.

And, much like with Sling TV, consumers can expand those offerings by purchasing theme-based program packs, including local broadcast channels, kids programming, and ESPN sports channels.

As part of the $40 monthly fee for the Dish TV Flex Pack, you get to choose one of the eight theme-based program packs. Others are available at prices ranging from $4 to $10 more per month. However, you can also decline the included add-on pack and receive the 50-channel package for $30 a month. Premium channels, such as HBO and Showtime, are options, too, for additional fees.

The core Dish TV Flex Pack includes a standard Dish receiver, but you can upgrade to the more advanced Hopper 3 DVR for $10 more per month. New customers can also get free installation and a two-year price guarantee, though you have to enroll in eBill and AutoPay.

Here are the channel packages. More information about the Dish TV plans is available at dish.com:
