I use my Blendtec every moring to make a green smoothie with various solid and frozen ingredients. I especially like the preset buttons that allow me to start and walk away. It seems to be very powerful, but the plastic pitcher gets pretty hazy over time and the seal around the blade leaks after a while.

Owned the Blendtec blender for one week before I return it to the store. First couple of days I was very happy with it's performance, but then it began to not even liquify or grind up a cucumber. The last straw was when I tried to make a smoothie with OJ, yogurt and a small amount frozen fruit, it just cavitated, and the fruit sat on top of the mixture. <br />Also thought the preset times of the buttons were far too long. The blender was also very unstable.

Comment:
I've used/owned the Vita-Mix and it's a solid 4 star but the Blendtec is truly a 5 star rock crusher..both blender/juicer because of it's power and design it deserves a much much higher rating by the CR testers. <br />CR is showing horribly made Chinese-junk blenders higher,what were they thinking?
