Bought this for the expanded capacity pitcher and the more powerful blending ability.<br /><br />I used a cheaper model, Oester?, before that leaked after 7 years. This one does a worse job on blending things I put in my smoothies such as oatmeal. End product is gritty not smooth. I do like the larger pitcher.<br /><br />Not worth the cost or hype.

I use it every day to make my morning smoothie concoction. Really like the power, as I have burnt out the motors of several other blenders because I use a lot of frozen fruit & ice. Makes a real creamy smoothie with great power and not too much noise versus some other machines.
