Bought to liquefy veggies , kale , spinach , all frozen ones too , fruits - apples , banana , blueberries.
Add protein powder or desired smoothie powder.
Originally to make liquid drinks as a caregiver
to elderly who could not chew solids or you would worry would choke on them. By liquid & using straw I could give nourishing meals.
Options to make cold snack and hot soup [ my blend ]
is awesome . The meal book you get with it has a lot , need more ? Go to U tube.
I was replacing the other brand yearly , so why spend a $100 plus a year when you can get one from U.S.A.
with long warranty & durability.

Comment:
I agree with Consumer Reports' lower rating of the 750 model versus the 5200... because we have both of them - one at home and one at our cottage. While we can all agree that Vitamix makes a heavy-duty and long-lasting product, I've found that the 750's wider, squatter pitcher is simply not as good at quickly crushing ice. Going from one machine to the other, as I do frequently, I have to run the 750 at least twice as long (i.e., 60 seconds, instead of 30) as I do on the 5200 to reduce the ice to smoothie consistency. After staring at the physics of the thing, it seems to me that the shape of the pitcher just isn't as good at shepherding the ice toward the blade because the pitcher is too wide. On the 5200, the ice is forced, via the narrower bottom of the pitcher, into the blades.

Ironically, the reason we went with the 750 for our second Vitamix is because of that very thing: the shorter pitcher! The 5200 didn't fit under our cabinets, while this one does. If I had to do it over, I'd buy the 5200 again, even though it's a pretty tall thing. And I notice CR forces me to answer the question of whether I'd recommend this to a friend. The only reason I say no is because I think the 5200 is a better choice - not because I think this one is a bad product.

Again, the differences are a question of degree - both are good machines - but I was spoiled by the 5200.
