Brew performance:

Convenience:
Convenience reflects ease of filling the reservoir, placing the filter, gauging the amount of coffee remaining, cleanup, and clarity of controls.

Comment:
I bought this coffee maker because it was reasonably priced and had a simple, attractive design. I read the reviews after I brought it home and kept the box. Glad I did - it quit working after 2 months, and I only used it on weekends, once in the morning on Saturday and Sunday. It's just junk.

Comment:
After purchasing the unit, I had to return to the store and opened 6 boxes before we found one that didn't have a broken carafe. After cleaning it out and running fresh water through 4 cycles to ensure the coffee would taste good, the coffee stills smells and tastes like plastic! Even though I use the correct amount of coffee, there are ALWAYS grounds in the carafe. I find it hard to believe that CR rated this as the best coffee maker of its class. I went through 4 units before I called it quits and got a refund. DO NOT waste your time! This was a total disappointment! Even the store employees have been told by numerous customers that this coffee maker was just plain Junk.
