Comment:
I wanted to try these new-fangled pod thingies so I bought these based on CR's reviews. BIG mistake. Had a couple that never fully dissolved and left permanent blue stains on white towels. Hated the heavy scent and they really didn't clean well in my top-load machine. But the worst problem was that one of the pods leaked in the container and ruined half of them. I had to toss the rest- what a waste of money. Costco never responded to my email, either.

My wife and I have used these for the past year and never had a problem. We have a conventional top loading machine, use all temps of water. We always add 1 or 2 pods to the bottom of the washer first then immediately add the dirty clothes on top. Our water is softened as we live in AZ so that may help with the dissolving of the pods. I would say 95% of the time 1 pod is all that is necessary to get a full load clean. Highly recommend.

Comment:
Undissolved pods leave a sticky residue that ruins clothes. Only happens to me when using delicate cycle. I think if using a setting for delicate items, the pod has to go into the washer before the clothes. Probably better to use a liquid detergent, and not take a chance of damage. Using new front load washer.
