About This Brand

Tide is the leading brand in liquid laundry detergent with a 28 percent share. In 2007 Proctor & Gamble introduced a full replacement of its liquid laundry detergent lineup, which includes Tide and Gain. The new 2X concentrated formulation provides the same number of loads in a more compact bottle. Tide also makes a wide variety of different detergents for specific uses: HE, Coldwater, Totalcare, Tide With a Touch of Downy, and Tide Ultra with Dawn Stainscrubbers are just a few formulas.

I have a front load HE machine. I usually toss one in, two if its a larger load of darks. I've never had a problem with them leaving stains. I've used them on a load of white towels, white bedding, white clothing, light clothing, jeans, and darks. I usually try to not load the machine more then 1/2 to 3/4 full. I've also started using the vivid white pods with my whites.

Comment:
What is disturbing is that I placed 4 new bath towels and some shirts in the wash and it left what appears to be bleach spotting even though they say it is not chlorine bleach and safe to use on colors.

Comment:
I thought these pods would be a simple clean way to add laundry soap to our new machine, it was the suggested product as a matter of fact. Several times they left blue stains and needed rewashing. The last time a pair of pants were not checked before they were put in the dryer, the plastic from the pod melted to the fabric and was a time consuming project to get it off, and then the pants had to be rewashed. Never again!
