Comment:
Our printer is used for printing, scanning, and copying. Often we need to print messages from email. We had a Pixma 6120 printer - which met our needs, but it needed costly repair. This 5420 printer is a disappointment. To print a document, the machine seemed to be processing to print . .it took almost 3 minutes to print a first page. Also copying size are fixed percentages. .unable to match enlargement to size needed. We are going to purchase a new printer - not a Canon.

THE CASETTE WON'T FEED ONE SHEET AT TIME. PHOTOS ARE FADED INSTEAD OF CRISP COLORS. SLOW OPERATION. WIFI CONNECTION MUST BE RESET EVERY TIME I USE IT. <br />I WILL TAKE IT BACK TOMORROW. WORST PRINTER I HAVE EVER HAD. I AM A FAIRLY HEAVY USER ESPECIALLY WITH PICTURES, WHICH THIS UNIT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE VERY GOOD AT.

The printer is so slow. Lots of cycling and then ultimately doesn't print. Very inconsistent. I'm usually a fan of Canon, but could not recommend this product.
