Comment:
The printer was a bargain and is fast. We got it on sale for very little at STAPLES. The little screen has no backlight and is almost impossible to read with its poor contrast. We use a flashlight to read the screen. Too many steps and menu selections to do any special copying and it is confusing and non-intutive, probably the worst I have every seen. Although this printer does do what we want copy-wise, we use another printer/copier simply becuase we cannot deal with the steps to do something simple. Do yourself a favor READ THE MANUAL BEFORE YOU BUY ONE and look at how the keyboard and screen work. How this was ever rated so high by CR baffles me.

Comment:
I use this printer for scanning & printing nearly daily. I use the ADF a lot and have had a couple of misfeeds. Quality of the print is very good, it starts up reasonably fast and prints fast. I have not used a scanner that scans as accurately and quickly at 300 dpi as this one does, and I am planning on getting a second to use in my home office. This can scan at 600 dpi in color, but I generally use it at 300 dpi black and white. If not being able to print from a card is important to you, this won't be your choice, but it you want an all-around decent printer with fax/scan/copy capabilities and are on a budget, this may well be your ticket.
