I bought one pan intending to buy more later, but I will not buy another Swiss Diamond pan. Initially I was extremely impressed and excited with my purchase because of how well the non-stick surface worked. However, after about 6-9 months the non-stick started wearing off even though we were careful not to use metal utensils (even though it said we could). We rarely put it in the dishwasher (even though it said we could). For the last few months we've had to use oil to grease the pan every time we use it.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought this pan with very high hopes and a lot of cash. We have tried several other pans with ceramic nonstick technology and thought that they were just bad ceramic pans. We bought this based on the recommendations from this site.

The pan felt good and worked great. The nonstick was amazing.

After a few months it was like the ceramic coating just wore off!

We actually did a comparison between the ceramic coated non stick pan and a cast iron pan frying eggs.
The egg stuck as if there was no oil in the pan. There was plenty. We cleaned the pan and tried it again. The egg stuck again and had to be scraped off.

Amazingly enough, the cast iron out performed this very expensive pan. Added a little oil and it worked like a champ.

I threw this very expensive pan away.
