Re-activateIt's that time of the year again in the U.S.—Daylight Saving Time is in effect, and clocks have been adjusted forward an hour over the weekend. Unless you're an Apple iPhone owner.
An apparent glitch has caused Apple's smart phone to "fall back" an hour rather than "spring ahead," putting the time displayed on the iPhone off by 2 hours. The bug affected some iPhones on both the AT&T and Verizon networks; similar to last year's bug that failed to properly set the clock back to standard time, the glitch didn't seem to affect all iPhone users.
The fix for affected Apple iPhone owners is fairly simple: Just turn the phone off and on, and it should pick up the correct time from the cellular network.
Apple has not announced whether there is a problem with the clock feature in its iOS 4.3 operating system, which was released just ahead of the Apple iPad 2 tablet computer last week. Still other iPhone users across the globe wonder if they too will suffer similar problems when the shift to Daylight Saving Time occurs.
