What's behind our sink Ratings?

Experts at our National Testing and Research Center tested 14 models in sinks to see which ones perform best.
We look for:

This is based mainly on performance, handling, and ease of use. The displayed score is out of a total of 100 points.
  • Stains
Shows resistance to common bathroom items and cleaning products.
  • Abrasion
Reflects resistance to damage from nylon and metal scouring pads.
  • Sharp impact
70 gram pointed weight dropped from a maximum height of 20 inches
  • Heat
Gauges resistance to damage from a hot curling iron in contact with the surface.
