    Lacey Aaker is a Policy Analyst at Consumer Reports, where she focuses on financial technology policy, including emerging payment systems, digital assets, and the intersection between traditional finance and decentralized finance in the digital marketplace. 

    Before joining CR, she was a financial analyst and Presidential Management Fellow at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, where she helped lead policy and regulatory analysis of U.S. payment systems, including new financial technologies. She co-authored a widely cited report on digital wallets and contributed to federal rulemaking and interagency policy discussions on fintech and consumer protection.

    Lacey holds an MPA from the University of Washington in Seattle and a BA in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Minnesota.
