Work At CR
As an investigative reporter at Consumer Reports, Nicole covers environmental health, food safety, and sustainability. She is particularly interested in the impact of chemicals in food, water, and everyday products on consumer health and safety. Energy is another main interest area, and she is exploring how the AI data center boom is affecting people and communities across the U.S.
Experience and Education
Before joining CR, Nicole spent more than a dozen years at the Natural Resources Defense Council, where much of her reporting centered on environmental health related to issues like drinking water, agriculture, and energy. She has also worked as an independent journalist and as an editorial consultant for major nonprofit organizations. Nicole began her career on the religion beat, and received several reporting fellowships and grants related to that work. She holds a master's degree from New York University and a bachelor's degree from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa.
