Consumer Reports’ Legacy Society
The Legacy Society comprises individuals who share a commitment to ensuring a fair and just marketplace for future generations. By planning deferred donations through your estate plans, you preserve CR’s independence and mission and empower consumers for years to come.
Joining the Legacy Society is straightforward. Simply notify Consumer Reports that you have included us in your will or estate plan. To formalize your intent, ask for the Legacy Gift Intent Form by emailing bequest@cr.consumer.org
If you are creating your will and would like to name Consumer Reports, here’s language for you or your advisor you could apply:
“I give and bequeath (The Trust shall distribute) to Consumer Reports, Inc., Yonkers, N.Y., the sum of $________ (or percentage of the rest and residue of my estate or trust) to be used by it for its general charitable purposes.”
You have an existing will: You may also use this language to create a “codicil” that adds Consumer Reports as a beneficiary. Please add and keep our address (Consumer Reports, Attn: Planned Giving, 101 Truman Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703) and Tax ID #: 13-1776434 on file.
