    On November 7, 2024, Govee recalled their GoveeLife and Govee Smart electric space heaters, as the space heaters can overheat and create fire and burn hazards. Over 500,000 units were sold in the US and Canada under the model numbers H7130, H7130101, H7131, H7132, H7133, H7134 and H7135. Consumers should immediately stop using the heaters and contact GoveeLife or Govee at 833-772-5360 or online at  https://us.govee.com or  www.goveelife.com.     The Govee H7130 is part of the Space Heaters test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, Space Heater models like the H7130 are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.

    Room heating: A high score means the space heater raises the average room temperature more during a 15-minute period. A top-scoring model delivers a strong heating performance when heating a room.

    Spot heating: A high score means the space heater raises the temperature of a seated person when placed nearby and aimed directly at them during a 15-minute period. A top-scoring model delivers strong, focused heat.

    Burn risk: A high score means the heater stays cool enough to touch briefly, even at its hottest setting. A top-scoring model should be less likely to cause burns during use.
