The Cadillac Escalade is the third redesigned model in GM's full-sized SUV family. As before, the Escalade shares much with the similar Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban and GMC Yukon/Yukon XL. In fact, it appears near-identical, with just the brand-specific face and finishing rear touches to distinguish it at a glance.
The Escalade can easily be mistaken for a Chevy or GMC model from the side. It is truly just the face and rear that are given Cadillac treatment. Up front, that translates to a large, shield-like grille shape shared with other recent models. The headlights are short and horizontal, and they are accented by tall, vertical lights—a design element that has become a signature styling cue for the brand.
