Jeep Grand Cherokee Recalled Because Rear Suspension May Detach While Driving

Rear coil springs may have been incorrectly installed, risking a problem for the driver and other motorists

Jeep is recalling 2021-2023 Grand Cherokee L and 2022-2023 Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee 4XE SUVs because incorrectly installed rear coil springs may detach while driving. Suspension parts coming loose and falling onto the road can create a hazard and cause a crash. The recall includes more than 328,000 SUVs.

Vehicles recalled:
2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L
2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee
2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE SUVs

The problem: The rear coil springs may be incorrectly installed and detach from the vehicle while driving.

The fix: Dealerships will replace both rear coil spring lower isolators at no charge.
