Mazda MX-5 Miata and Fiat 124 Are Recalled for an Airbag Problem
A software error may cause the airbags to deploy with too much force in minor crashes
Mazda and Fiat are recalling over 93,000 vehicles because their front airbags may deploy with too much force during a minor collision, which could increase the risk of neck injuries or cause injuries to occupants who aren’t wearing their seat belts. As a result, these airbags don’t meet federal motor vehicle safety standards.
