2022–2025 Toyota Tundra Recalled Due to Risk of Rear Collision

The reverse lights may not illuminate

Toyota is recalling about 443,000 Tundra pickup trucks due to the risk of the reverse lights not illuminating. Without those lights on when the truck is in Reverse, there is no indication that the vehicle is about to move backward, thereby risking a collision with an uninformed car or pedestrian.

Moisture intrusion and the resulting corrosion are to blame for the problem.

Dealerships will replace the reverse light assemblies, and they will repair corroded wiring harnesses as needed at no charge.

Toyota will notify owners by mid-July 2025.
