Volkswagen Group of America is recalling certain 2025-2026 Volkswagen Taos SUVs because a dislodged or separated fuel pressure sensor in the fuel tank can cause a fuel leak after a rollover crash, increasing the risk of a fire.

more on recalls

The problem has been traced to a fuel tank pressure sensor wiring harness installed starting in 2025, which was too short.

The remedy is adding an 80 mm wiring harness extension to the existing wiring harness.

Volkswagen is not aware of any crashes, fires, or injuries related to this issue.

Owners will be notified in mid-June 2026 and directed to schedule a free recall repair at their local Volkswagen dealership.
