Apple maps are far inferior to Google, which we would prefer to use. Even with a passenger doing the actual interactions with the screen, it is difficult to make it work effectively. The dealership was not able to fix it when this recurred 3 different times within a 3 month period until GM corporate got involved. The problem has not recurred in the last 5 months. The system eventually reboots after 5 to 15 minutes. Its also learned a new trick ... about every fourth time I start the car, it plays the radio for approximately 5 minutes then just stops and goes silent. Other audio (Apple) continues to work, but the radio doesn't function until I restart the car."

This is not small accelerator screen at steering wheel but soft switches on display screen being unavailable means no ability to start cabin heating, etc. Lo software updates only provided at dealers despite connection to Internet in my garage v ok a WiFi. Software fixes don't so far."
