The Tahoe's highlights are its responsive powertrain, quiet cabin, and good low-speed ride. But fit and finish are unimpressive, the third-row seat is very tight and handling is cumbersome.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

Debs P., CO (2004 Chevrolet Tahoe)

"This Tahoe has the larger engine and has power to spare. We tow a Trailer that we use for RVing. It has no problem getting us where we want to go! Even steep grades are a breeze. My wife drives it to work and loves it!"

Randy M., CA (2004 Chevrolet Tahoe)

"Acceleration is good and handles well under all road and weather conditions."

Anonymous, TX (2004 Chevrolet Tahoe)

J R., CO (2004 Chevrolet Tahoe)

"handles well, turns tighter than any cars I have owned"

Anonymous, SD (2004 Chevrolet Tahoe)

"Ride height gives me a clear view of the road. Power seat adjustments make getting comfortable easier."

Anonymous, CA (2004 Chevrolet Tahoe)
