2013 Chevrolet Traverse Owner Satisfaction - Consumer Reports
General Motors might not build minivans anymore, but that doesn't mean it’s out of the big family-vehicle market, as the Chevrolet Traverse demonstrates. Test results for our Traverse test vehicle also apply to the GMC Acadia, which differs only in styling details. Very spacious inside, Traverse comfortably seats up to eight adults while leaving some cargo space behind the third row.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

"Everything! It is the perfect vehicle. Plenty of room, great looks, great handling, and pretty good fuel economy."

William S., MI (2013 Chevrolet Traverse)

"The Traverse accelerates well when passing and going up hills, but sometimes it feels like it floats on the highway so it makes you feel that you do not have the control of the vehicle."

THOMAS V., NY (2013 Chevrolet Traverse)

"The engine seems (and sounds) underpowered - it could use a little more horsepower considering the bulk it has to move."

GREG K., IA (2013 Chevrolet Traverse)

"Controls for the radio and GPS system need to be much easier to use! Transmission needs to improve !"

BILL T., OR (2013 Chevrolet Traverse)

"The transmission is automatic, so acceleration and deceleration are both a problem. I'm a live-long manual transmission driver and used to shifting myself. This car does no slow down when gas pedal is released. Feel like I have to pump the brakes, which is warned against. Accelerating from a slow down, like near a newly green light, seems to cause the gear to "fight" with themselves about decelerating, accelerating. Manual transmission would give much better control over braking and accelera"

What Owners Say

"Too much cabin noise from road. On a long trip it really gets annoying."
