2015 Chrysler Town & Country Owner Satisfaction - Consumer Reports
Chrysler might have invented the modern minivan, but time marched on, leaving this version of the Town & Country feeling dated and past its prime. It’s not that the Town & Country totally lacks good points. Ride is very comfortable and settled. Passengers will also find a quiet, well-equipped cabin that offers considerable versatility.

Owner Satisfaction with:

Driving Experience

Includes acceleration and handling

What Owners Say

"Great pickup and passing ability"

Anonymous, MI (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Bouncy and rough ride. Steering is completely numb. Handling is a low point, displaying an alarming amount of body roll and an unwillingness to comply with all but the most rudimentary driver input."

Anonymous, CA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Accelerates very well, good power, stable handling"

Anonymous, GA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Acceleration is sluggish. No issues with handling."

Chad H., NV (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Cruise control does not control speed on down slopes. Only real speed control is on straight flat roads."

Anonymous, TX (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"I only our 1 car"

Anonymous, WI (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"The accelerator is very difficult to use. Holding a mile per hour requires constant changes in pedal pressure. Cruise control can drop 4-5 miles per hour before the engine revs up to speed. Way to easy to over press the accelerator and jump start or force down shifting."

Paul K., OH (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"It is extremely powerful and shifts are crisp. The engine also does a great job of slowing down the van versus my Journey where it freewheels forever. The van also holds it's own on the road during windy conditions."

Marjorie D., IN (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Very good acceleration. and very "quick" turning and short radius of turning around"

Jack N., VA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"leaps out at the touch of the accellator pedal"

Anonymous, NY (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"We love this vehicle!!. We have liked the mileage, especially on the highway. When using the cruise control we have got 30 miles per gallon at 70 MPH. In town not so good."

Gerald K., IA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Great car for grandkids. Accelerates and handles well for minivan. The smoothness of the ride is suboptimal and the noise level from the road is a bit too loud"

Becky R., TX (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"the six speed transmission seems very redundant in accelerating and de-accelerating. But once geared up, it does fine. At interstate speed 70-80 mph, the fuel mileage increases to nearly 28 mpg. Even with the air conditioning in use."

Edward W., KY (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"The acceleration is good and allows me to merge onto the freeways and feel safe."

Anonymous, WA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"It's very easy to drive. The windshield gives great visibility. The transmission isn't very even when shifting ."

Anonymous, FL (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"it has every thing i want"

Anonymous, WI (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Very pleased with both acceleration and handling"

Susan D., ON (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"I love the way it handles"

Anonymous, NY (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"HANDKLES WELL, GOOD PICKUP"

Anonymous, MI (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Acceleration is very different from our 2005 Town & Country. This vehicle feels more jumpy or touchy and we often squeal the tires unintentionally. We are still trying to get used to this difference."

Eileen R., NY (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"I just did in the previous request."

Fredrick W., FL (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Always accelerates with good action and gets me out of the way when I need to be elsewhere. Handling is good."

Doug-Trish H., WA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Good acceleration and handling while driving even when driving in snow with good snow tires."

STEVE S., VA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Vehicle rides and handles really well and gets 30+ MPG on the highway."

Anonymous, IN (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"The cruise control very bad dealer will not replace because their mechanic can not duplicate the problem."

Anonymous, VA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Acceleration is surprisingly quick. It drives smooth and is responsive. I don't feel like I'm driving a minivan - I feel like I'm driving a car. I love the quiet cabin - very little road noise if any"

Anonymous, NJ (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Interior is nice, but would rather had cloth seats than leather. Miss the outside temperature thermometer and compass of our old T/C (2003). Main dissatisfaction is the 6 speed transmission. Our 2003 T/C had a great 5 speed. the 2003 was a GREAT van. Let me have my 2003 new and I'd trade our 2015 for it in a heart beat!"

EDWARD W., KY (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"a little unstable in passing gear"

Anonymous, NY (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"it very noisy inside and the pickup is bad"

CARLA C., FL (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"The excelerator if too sensitive starting from a stop. The next section doesn't allow comments. We never received a manual on how to use all the dashboard stuff so are frustrated with trying to use it."

CHARLOTTE D., WA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"lots of power, comfortable seats"

Anonymous, WA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Drives great"

Anonymous, OH (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

Comfort

Includes seats, climate control, noise, and ride

What Owners Say

"driver/passenger seats confortable and it has a good ride with generally low noise."

Anonymous, MI (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Reason #1 to buy this car: All rear seats can easily be stowed to transport large paintings. Reason #2: Excellent experience with a previous Chrysler Town and Country"

Anonymous, PA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Lots of road noise."

Michael R., KS (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Very nice ride, good stability, quiet, seats very comfortable"

Anonymous, GA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"The stow and go allow this vehicle to be very versatile especially when traveling with dogs"

Anonymous, WA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Don't like the ride with the run flats. The standard seats are just OK. BMW should do better. Don't know about the sport seats."

R F., NY (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"the ride is very comfortable. The one negative is the front passenger seat which does not have the extra lumbar support that the driver seat has. I don't understand this. The ride is quiet. In addition we are able to fold the seats into the floor and camp in the back. This is very handy."

Anonymous, MI (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Because it is a Braun conversion, it is very stiff. Rides like a truck."

Rex B., UT (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"The drivers seat has electronic adjustments for height, leg rood and lumbar support. The noise level is good with the windows closed and the ride is soft. However, there is an adjustment that can make the suspension hard for better performance ."

Anthony N., NJ (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"This vehicle is utilitarian at best. Road noise is extreme and the seats are merely functional as seating devices. Occupant comfort is minimalist."

Anonymous, CA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"You feel every bump but the ride is steady and not harsh"

Anonymous, FL (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"The front seats are fine. The two middle seats are very uncomfortable . They also need to be adjustable. I have custom floormats that make lowering and raising the seats very difficult."

Edward W., KY (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"One of the most comfortable drivers seat I have driven including Mercedes. The noise on cement is better than our other car. The van handles nicely over bumpy roads."

Doug-Trish H., WA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Sounds like an air leak around windows and doors."

Anonymous, OH (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Very road noisy"

Anonymous, NY (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Seats are very comfortable, ride is great."

Anonymous, IA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"The T&C rides like the early 1960's Cadillac and Lincoln autos. Super ride. Great acceleration. I have Cooper tires and they are super quite. I can't say enough great things about the 2015 T&C. I am disappointed that they discontinued this vehicle and brought in the Pacifica, a poor choice!"

Fredrick W., FL (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"comfort is great; so is the sound system"

Anonymous, BC (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Quality leather seating, very comfy."

Cynthia V., MA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"The best comfort the Town and Country provides is ease in opening all the doors and the ease with which the seats can be stowed. The adjustable seats are a plus, especially on long trips."

Gordon V., MI (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"COMFORTABLE ON TRIPS"

Anonymous, MI (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"steering wheel position adjustment range is too small"

Anonymous, MN (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"The leather seats are harder than anticipated. There is more road noise and the ride is not nearly as comfortable as my 2007 cadillac was. I wish I had waited a bit longer for a better deal."

VERNALINE R., FL (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"It's quite noisy on the highway."

MICHAEL R., KS (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"I appreciate the heated seats"

Anonymous, NJ (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Interior temperature seems to be cycling, possibly flash memory needs updating."

Anonymous, NC (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"The fact that it has stow and go was most important. Also happy with the technology and in car phone"

Anonymous, WA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"We are getting more wind noise than I like"

PHILLIP B., IL (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"I like the dash and steering wheel controls. Everything on the dash can be controlled from the steering wheel. The cabin is a bit noisy. Seats are comfortable."

Anonymous, IA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Seats are so comfortable. Climate control works just great. Ride is very smooth"

Anonymous, KY (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"The seats are co.comfortable, the ride is sturdy so far. Interior noise at highway speeds is loud for me. The climate controls have an automatic feature making it simple. However, manual adjustments can be trickey and since you have to look, you have to pull over."

IRA E., NY (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"leather isn't soft, seats are narrow in the so-called butt pocket and have too much of a bolster on the edges. We have the Touring model so we do not have the "premium" leather seats."

Anonymous, WI (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"love the heated seats and the comfort"

TOMMIE K., MI (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Climate control is great - both front seats have controls & there's controls for the back which really work. Seats are comfortable sitting & probably fantastic for tall people. However, shorter persons' legs tend to go the sleep due to not touching the floor. The ride is smooth & quiet. There is a definite difference with the dampening of outside noises."

Anonymous, FL (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Ability to "sto & go" seats is a very convenient feature."

Anonymous, VA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Seats are very comfortable, climate control is easy to use and very little road noise. Spacious interior for the whole family and quality materials."

Anonymous, NJ (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Real luxury car for comfort"

Anonymous, OH (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

Value

Did you get what you wanted relative to the price you paid?

What Owners Say

"Great value. Better equipped van with best features like stow and go compared to other brands. Automatic climate control is flawless. Video entertainment system is great for grandkids. Sorry the new Pacifica doesn't seem to offer this any more, a big loss."

James L., IL (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"It has great storage capacity for large items, even bicycles. It is very reliable, had only oil changes in 3.5 years of ownership. Has many safety and convenience features such as rear view camera, adjustable foot pedals, powered 3rd row seats."

Anonymous, PA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"At the time I purchased the vehicle the competition (Honda and Toyota mini vans) with comparable features were $10K+ more expensive. Used vehicles one or two years old with 50 miles or less were comparably priced."

Anthony N., NJ (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Was able to purchase the vehicle with all I wanted on it for the price I know was a good deal. We have had nothing go wrong - routine maintenance only so far."

Paul K., OH (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Great buy for the money"

Anonymous, FL (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"The hands free calling is abysmal. Numerous attempts have failed in correction of % Call completed as requested . I would not recommend this to anyone it has been a source of great frustration"

Louis Z., IA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"This car has so many features yet was not as expensive as many other cars with similar features."

Colleen M., NJ (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"I have owned Chrysler T&C since 1993. This 2015 replace a 2008. Two of the deal stoppers were an adjustable 8 way passage seat and traffic data in the nav system. I shopped 4 dealers telling each the same thing. After being assured by all 4 that the vehicle met those requirements, I found out that since 2012 traffic reception from Sirius had not been available. Both Sirius and Garman told me that traffic reception was available. Additionally HD headlamps are also not available. The list price wa"

GEORGE B., VA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"I believe we received value for the money spent."

Anonymous, GA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"only owned it a week, too early to tell"

Anonymous, WA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"We bought this car used directly from a rental car business. It had some miles on it but they gave us a great deal and the car a complete check-up. It looks like brand new."

CAROL M., PA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Got it at auction price from Enterprise Car Sales"

Anonymous, WA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Is had many options that made it luxurious. My wife loves it"

JAMES P., CT (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"As we were traveling across country the car drove well and the gas milage got as high as 25 miles per gallon. The stow and go seating was wonderful for both added storage and flexibility in transporting items and people."

STEVE S., VA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"It handles very well and turns on a dime. Apparently, it has a very good retention rate so it will hold it's value when I decide to trade up."

VERNALINE R., FL (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"It seemed a bit pricey"

Anonymous, MN (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

Styling

How it looks inside and out

What Owners Say

"It has a "boxey" profile. Prefer the curved profile of previously owned 2006 Chrysler Town & Country"

DELORES S., CA (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Very nice styling. The interior is smooth & flows well. Absolutely love the buttons that open/close the side & back doors. The DVD player does take away from the ceiling, making it seem really low."

Anonymous, FL (2015 Chrysler Town & Country)

"Old boxy look"
