What Owners Say
"I have had to replace them from early in the life of the van they seized up"
Dave A., ON (2011 Dodge Grand Caravan R/T 3.6-L V6)"I brought it in for a leaking LR Caliper They found the Master Cylinder was leaking A had caused a issue with the booster all 3 were replaced"
Dennis K., IL (2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Crew 3.6-L V6)"Master cylinder was causing front brakes to remain engaged while driving, leading to overheating and damage to rotors, pads, and fluid"
Anonymous, VA (2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Express 3.6-L V6)"The original master cylinder failed about 16 months ago and the replacement failed about two months ago. I wish you would also allow me to describe another problem: intermittent hard slow) starting, which no one so far has been able to diagnose definitively. There are indications this may be due to a fuel pump relay inside the vehicle TIPM computer. The relay problem is covered by an extended warranty on certain models but not other vehicles with the same problem (including mine)."
Robert T., TN (2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Crew 3.6-L V6)"Brakes seem to wear out more quickly than normal."
Anonymous, (2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Crew 3.6-L V6)"Parking brake was worn down, as if it had remained engaged- for no apparent reason."
Anonymous, NJ (2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Crew 3.6-L V6)"Need to completely replace the brakes (pads, rotors) almost annually."
Anonymous, ON (2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Unsure 3.6-L V6)"the brakes on this vehicle have been prematurely worn out since we got it. front brakes alone have ben done 3x in 7 years"
Anonymous, VA (2011 Dodge Grand Caravan R/T 3.6-L V6)"Front brake pads wore out after only 30000 miles"
Ryan F., NC (2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Crew 3.6-L V6)"With my last 5 vehicles I have never had to replace the brakes and rotors at lees than 65000 km. Rotor on this Caravan are cheap and undersized fo,r the vehicle according to dealer service rep. Chrysler supposedly increased the size of the rotors in subsequent years"
Anonymous, ON (2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Crew 3.6-L V6)"I have had to replace the breaks and rotors every 18000km since purchase. I would say they put the breaking system of a Neon on a car 3x it's weight"
Joshua B., QC (2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Crew 3.6-L V6)"Believe the pads wore out premature, Dealer installed long wearing pads. Read breaks only!"
Rod S., WI (2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Crew 3.6-L V6)"I have to completely replace the brakes (rotors, calipers, everything) WAY MORE OFTEN than I'd expect. On average, about every 10,000-12,000 km. At a cost of over $1000 each time."
Anonymous, ON (2011 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.6-L V6)"Had brakes replaced including new rotors but still get a pulsation when stopping"
Anonymous, IN (2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Crew 3.6-L V6)"Rotors need to be replaced frequently. Very costly. Premature wear unlike any vehicle owned previously. In fact every aspect of cars braking system has proven to be a dismal failure"
Robert P., CT (2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Crew 3.6-L V6)"Already discussed previously"
Anonymous, ON (2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Crew 3.6-L V6)"if u do not drive much the break pads fuse themselves to the rotors. They actually form rust which causes premature wearing for the pads and rotors. I have replaced them 3 times"
Dave A., ON (2011 Dodge Grand Caravan R/T 3.6-L V6)"rotors warped form high speed stoping. replaced rotors and pads"
Anonymous, WI (2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Mainstreet 3.6-L V6)
