Chrysler might have invented the modern minivan, but time has marched on, leaving the Dodge Grand Caravan feeling dated and past their prime. The new for 2017 Chrysler Pacifica and major competitors, the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna, are both far better choices.
Not that the minivan lack good points. The ride is very comfortable and settled, and passengers will find a quiet, well-equipped cabin that offers considerable versatility. Both the second- and third-row seats can fold away into the floor, a big convenience for times you need to maximize cargo space. Unfortunately, that trick compromises the seats' comfort.
In most cases, automotive warranties are based on the vehicle identification number (VIN), and the warranty will be valid regardless of ownership. The dealership can tell you exactly how much warranty is left.

"This vehicle has one of the worst rides I've ever experienced in a car. It rode like a brick on wheels and bottomed out on rough streets. When turning corners it felt like the car was going to tip over. Turn control was nonexistent. Its size and chunkiness made it difficult to get into parking slots. There was no handle on the ceiling above the seat to grab onto when about to exist the vehicle. The vehicle sits high above the ground and for someone small like myself I needed such a handle to safely maneuver myself out of the car onto the ground. Everyone is not six feet tall. The many steering wheel gauges were UNINTELLIGIBLE! The symbols made no sense and there were dozens of door symbols, steering wheel symbols and console symbols. They were inconveniently located also. I hit ONE with my elbow and it opened the sliding back door. I drove off with the door STILL open and the only thing that happened was an occasional BEEP. I was driving ten or 15 blocks with the sliding door open. A young child could've fallen onto the street and gotten killed. It is SO poorly designed as to be taken off the market. The gas mileage was abysmal. Thirteen miles, at MOST, in the city. It's more likely it was half that because it seemed I was always having to fill up the tank during the week I had the car in the city. It is an AWFUL driving experience."

"The alarm is what I believe beeped the horn everytime I locked the car. This is ridiculous and annoying. Everytime I locked the car the horn beeped loudly. I came home late at night and I'm sure it woke my neighbors. They need to change this. As well as nearly everything else about this car: bad gas mileage, seat heater that was burning my butt! Awful and unintelligle symbols on the steering wheel, door and mid console. Baffling."
