The interior is crudely finished. Compact dimensions and a usefully sized bed are the Ranger's only pluses. Even if you took thousands off its list price, the Ranger still would not be a bargain.

"Interior appointments are OK. Nothing that could be considered luxurious. Compared to my former ride, a 1997 F-150 XLT, some things are lacking which one would EXPECT to be standard equipment, such as a glovebox light, map light, adjustable headrests, a cargo bed light etc. which I miss. Ride is somewhat rough and even bone jarring over irregular road surfaces, potholes and especially manhole covers that are not set at proper grade. I am 6'-4" and the interior can be somewhat confining at times"

We use this mainly as a weekend recreational vehicle for kayaking in West Virginia, which involves some rough roads into river valleys. The truck is entirely road - worthy in that use. Ford made an enormous mistake in discontinuing it."
