Driving Experience
Includes acceleration and handling
What Owners Say
"Driving on snow and ice has been outstanding. Great SUV for Alaska."
Anonymous, AK (2014 GMC Terrain)"Overall handling is great but it is hard to park Turning radius"
Anonymous, OH (2014 GMC Terrain)"Handling is not as good as the base Mazda CX-5 that we leased for a month each of the last 2 winters in Florida. And we have the Denali V6 Terrain."
CHRISTI M., MI (2014 GMC Terrain)"Good power out of V6 engine. Trailer rating is disappointing."
MICHAEL S., WI (2014 GMC Terrain)"With the 6 cylinder it is great. The four cylinder (that I had on a 2011 model) leaves it very underpowered"
PETER M., VA (2014 GMC Terrain)"Handles very well but ride is somewhat bouncy-doesn't take bumps very well. Also, road noise is more than I think it should be."
JOHN L., TX (2014 GMC Terrain)"Handles great. Never lacks for power in merging or passing. Easy to park in lots."
ROBERT M., IL (2014 GMC Terrain)"The handling is good but the 4 cyl engine does not have the acceleration we are used too. I prefer a V8. For a 4 cly it is ok."
James P., IL (2014 GMC Terrain)"Very easy to drive. 4 cyl really goes"
Anonymous, IL (2014 GMC Terrain)"The acceleration of this engine is terrible. It is way underpowered , could get you into trouble in a highway situation ."
Steven T., OH (2014 GMC Terrain)"Good acceleration."
Anonymous, IL (2014 GMC Terrain)"Has a brand new (0 miles)engine as first engine died & although Kia (including guys from national Kia) took it apart several times they couldn't find the problem so installed a brand new engine & a/c system at no cost to us. The Kia drives excellently with great road feel and responsiveness. Handles extremely well. Feels great and safe. But why did the engine die? Why couldn't Kia's most senior mechanics identify the problem. I truly appreciate the engine which had zero miles on it as of 10/17 but it still concerns me It's fairly comfy but not for anything over maybe 250miles"
Kathleen G., FL (2014 GMC Terrain)"I have the 4 cylinder version and the acceleration is adequate. Handling is very nice and responsive."
Susan C., MI (2014 GMC Terrain)"Good ride"
Tom D., MI (2014 GMC Terrain)"Slides in wet weather. I will definitely buy another GMC car, but with AWD on next car."
David E., OR (2014 GMC Terrain)"Good for the size of the engine"
Raymond P., OH (2014 GMC Terrain)"The steering ratio is very limited. The Terrain will not make sharp turns. To park in straight parking spaces, you must pull up and back up several times to get in. NO rear aid."
Randall M., TX (2014 GMC Terrain)"Over 300 hp has proven to be a very fast and responsive experience."
Anonymous, TN (2014 GMC Terrain)"It has plenty of power 6 cyl. and AWD"
Anonymous, NJ (2014 GMC Terrain)
"Good fuel economy, Holds the road well in highway driving, poor turning radius and agility"
Anonymous, IN (2014 GMC Terrain)
