Driving Experience
Includes acceleration and handling
What Owners Say
"This Denali model has the V-6 with the six speed automatic, and has outstanding acceleration. Very smooth, positive shifts up and down. It handles quickly and positively, with no push or oversteer. The AWD is quiet and smooth. We have a couple Corvettes, and know what a good driving experience can be. This Denali is an excellent driving, high performing vehicle in it's class."
Anonymous, MI (2017 GMC Terrain)"Poor acceleration with 4 cyl engine. Handling good"
Fred O., NJ (2017 GMC Terrain)"Accelerates well both in city and highway driving. Responsive steering and cornering."
Jan P., MI (2017 GMC Terrain)"Acceleration is slow, especially on the low end. Handing is OK for a vehicle this size. It is all-wheel drive as needed - but tere is no indicator when it moves in to all-wheel drive."
Anonymous, PA (2017 GMC Terrain)"Four cylinder engine works too hard in hilly terrain."
Anonymous, MO (2017 GMC Terrain)"smooth handling on almost all types of road surfaces acceleration is great when needed such as entering a freeway"
Anonymous, MI (2017 GMC Terrain)"Handles well but acceleration tends to be a bit sluggish and transmission is not very responsive and occasionally gets confused if you step accelerator if cruise is engaged"
Anonymous, AB (2017 GMC Terrain)"Engine revs up to high in 1st & 2nd gears and is noisy."
Anonymous, CO (2017 GMC Terrain)"Drives and handles well. Good acceleration and ease of maneuvering in traffic."
Anonymous, WA (2017 GMC Terrain)"Really bad torque stearing."
Joseph M., FL (2017 GMC Terrain)"THe V6 has very ample acceleration and it handles beautifully on the highway or in town."
Rick R., CO (2017 GMC Terrain)
"It provides reasonable acceleration for a 4 cylinder engine - better than the 2011 model (which I have owned also) I have found the handling to be very good for a vehicle its size.. I wish their was a indicator when the all-wheel drive automatically kicks in - you have no way of knowing when it is being activated by road conditions."
