    Hyundai IONIQ 5 N

    Latest Model

    2025 Model Redesign Year
The Ioniq 5 N is a fully-electric hot hatch with the performance quotient cranked up to 11. With 601 hp from dual electric motors, the car is blisteringly quick. But what makes the Ioniq 5 N truly unique is that it can be configured to emit sounds and effects that mimic a high-performance gas car, with a realistic engine note, upshift pops and decelerative burbling from the exhaust, paddle shifters, and even a rev limiter. The ride height is lower and the suspension stiffer, in turn making the handling super sharp compared to the regular Ioniq 5. The tradeoff is a taut and tense ride, although the electronically-controlled suspension keeps things livable. The EPA-estimated driving range is reduced from 290 miles for the regular Ioniq 5 to just 221 miles for the N.
We measured 236 miles during our 70-mph highway-range test. Quick charging times are possible at public DC fast-charging venues, thanks to the car's 235-kW max acceptance rate. For 2026, the Ioniq 5 N received a native NACS charging port, allowing buyers to take advantage of Tesla's Supercharger charging network.

    2025-Present

    2025 Model Redesign Year
The Ioniq 5 N is a sporty version of the Ioniq 5 with standard all-wheel drive. It's a fully-electric hot hatch with the performance quotient cranked up to such a level that creates a vastly different driving experience. The car is blisteringly quick, and if so chosen, it emits sounds that mimic a gas car, with shift points and all. The chassis is lowered and stiffened, in turn making the car very agile in corners. The tires and brakes are upgraded so they can withstand the rigors of track driving. The tradeoff is a ride that is very taut and tense with frequent short motions.
Various driving modes can alter the power distribution front and rear, the level of stability control intervention and the appearance of the displays. The EPA-estimated driving range is reduced to 221 miles instead of 290 miles on the regular AWD. The 5 N is a formidable challenge to any sports car and it's a guilt-free pleasure, not to mention offering the versatility of a hatchback. For 2026, the Ioniq 5 N received a native NACS charging port, allowing buyers to take advantage of Tesla's Supercharger charging network.
