Hyundai Ioniq 9

Latest Model

2026 Model Redesign Year
The Ioniq 9, a sibling of the Kia EV9, joins a growing number of electric three-row SUVs on the market. Hyundai's biggest EV is refined and user-friendly and is a formidable competitor to other offerings, including those with a luxury badge. It's quick and quiet, rides comfortably, and handles responsively. The base single-motor, rear-wheel-drive version has an EPA-estimated driving range of 335 miles. Our dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant managed 315 miles in our highway-range test. All Ioniq 9s get a 110-kWh battery and a NACS charging port that lets you use Tesla superchargers without an adapter.
The front seats are wide and comfortable. The second row is very spacious and comfortable, whether with the standard bench seat or the dual captain's chairs. The third row offers a surprising amount of head and foot space, but the seat is low to the floor and not that comfortable. The cabin is nicely furnished, and the controls are relatively easy to use.
