    The Ioniq 9, a sibling of the Kia EV9, joins a growing number of electric three-row SUVs on the market. This electric three-row SUV is refined and user-friendly and is a formidable competitor to other offerings whether they wear a luxury badge or not. The 9 is quick and quiet, rides comfortably and handles responsively. Controls are relatively easy to use. The cabin is nicely furnished and the rear seat is roomy. It can be configured to seat six or seven passengers; the six-passenger setup includes two reclining second-row captain's chairs.
    Even the third seat is semi-decent. The base single-motor rear-wheel-drive version has 335 miles of driving range. Our dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant has 320 miles of range. All get a 110-kW battery and a NACS (Tesla) charging port that requires an adaptor but enables charging at Tesla superchargers.
