Anonymous, MD (2009 Hyundai Sonata SE 3.3-L V6)"I believe that the rotors on this model and other cars are NOT built to last intentionally. They don't stand up to normal braking / wear and are a designed wekness that is a source of profit for car dealers / mechanics. These never were an issue with cars I drove made in the US during the 1960's through th 1990's The problems I have had were on import brands - one made in Japan and one assembled in the US under a foreign company / name. Even though I drive way fewer miles per year then the average driver, I don't abuse my cars and I get them serviced regularly as needed (oil changes) and as required by the owners manual or if I detect a noise or abnormality. I have had 2 instances where the brakes have damaged a rotor an the rotor had to be rplaced at great expense to me. The rotors could not be 'machined' 'turned' or resurfaced and had to be discarded on a Toyota Camry and now on the Hyundai Sonota. This has caused me to question the quality of the parts used and the overall design of the breaks on import cars."

Robert D., NY (2009 Hyundai Sonata Limited 2.4-L 4 Cyl)"it was a slight squeak and dealer rep suggested it might be some rust due to low mileage. The noise did not impair brake effectiveness. $900 later WOW"
