The well-appointed Amanti offers a spacious cabin with a quiet and comfortable ride. Freshened for 2007, the Kia got a powerful new engine that is also smooth, and refined. Additionally, the suspension was revised to improve ride and handling. The softness and buoyancy we found unpleasant in the previous model was exorcised. Handling remained somewhat clumsy, but it was more secure than the previous model's. Fuel economy was not a strong suit. 2009 was the last year for the Amanti.
