0 to 60 mph 0 to 60 mph (sec.) The time in seconds that a vehicle takes to reach 60 mph from a standstill with the engine idling.
Transmission Transmission Transmission performance is determined by shifting smoothness, response, shifter action, and clutch actuation for manual transmissions.
Fuel Economy Fuel Economy We perform our own fuel-economy tests, independent of the government's often-quoted EPA figures and the manufacturers' claims. Using a precise fuel-flow measuring device spliced into the fuel line, we run two separate circuits to represent city and highway consumption.
CR's Overall Mileage CR's Overall Mileage CR's overall mileage is a composite of measured fuel usage on a prescribed city course and highway cruising; and CR's 150-mile test trip of mixed driving, if tested. In recent road tests, we've discontinued the 150-mile trip test.

Reliability History Reliability History The reliability charts are based on responses on hundreds of thousands of vehicles from our latest Annual Auto Survey. Consumer Reports subscribers reported on any serious problems they had with their vehicles during the past 12 months that they considered serious because of cost, failure, safety, or downtime, in any of the trouble spots included in the table below. The results are presented relative to the average model that year. Extra weight is given to the more serious areas such as major engine or transmission problems. Based on this data and further analysis, we predict reliability for the latest year. N/A indicates that we did not receive a large enough sample size to provide data for a specific year. An X indicates that the vehicle was not manufactured for a specific year.

Our subscribers provide great insights into their satisfaction by answering one simple question: If they had it to do all over again, would they definitely buy or lease the same model? In addition, respondents also rate their cars in six categories: driving experience, comfort, value, styling, audio, and climate systems. In-car Electronics

CD or DVD players, radio, speakers, GPS, communication system (e.g., OnStar), display screen freezes or goes blank, phone pairing (e.g. Bluetooth), voice control commands, steering wheel controls, portable music device interface (e.g., iPod/MP3 player), backup or other camera/sensors.

What Owners Say

Backup or other camera/sensors

Ronald D., CA (2014 Lexus RX 350 3.5-L V6)
CD player

"No track or album info shown on screen"

John O., MA (2014 Lexus RX 450h 3.5-L V6 hybrid)

"iPod classic freezes iPhone Bluetooth playback not consistent"

John O., MA (2014 Lexus RX 450h 3.5-L V6 hybrid)

"No live ports when engine off. Now no live ports any time to charge my phone or any other device. Seems to have blown fuse, but changing fuse requires visit to dealer and their service really sucks"

Carl B., NE (2014 Lexus RX 350.0 3.5-L V6)
In-dash navigation system (GPS)

"Considering the cost of this vehicle I consider their navigation system to be an insult when you consider the cost ( nearly $400.) to up date the software. Many times the system has failed to find the logical route even over road that have been in existence for 10's of years. My iPhone does a better job"

Charles F., TX (2014 Lexus RX 350 3.5-L V6)

"Terrible algorithms chooses routes that are no where near the fastest. I live in a gated community and it refuses to navigate through it, even though it has all the streets, and no way to override this. I use Google Maps and Waze on my smartphone. Even in non-gated driving it selects terrible routes when compared to Google Maps and Waze. Also, updates cost over $200, and that for a poor software system to start with!! I have talked with Lexus numerous times and they appear to be unintereste"

Frank S., FL (2014 Lexus RX 350 3.5-L V6)

"This is my 4th Lexus SUV. The GPS is so bad I would never consider buying it again. A simple web search will show you thoUSnds of complaints. Lexus has done nothing! Truly awful"

Robert M., MA (2014 Lexus RX 350 3.5-L V6)

"Voice actuated navigation is unreliable. On more that one occasion it gave very bad directions"

Anonymous, SC (2014 Lexus RX 350 3.5-L V6)

Woody W., CA (2014 Lexus RX 350.0 3.5-L V6)
Phone pairing (e.g., Bluetooth)

"Had to go to a dealership to pair new phones--2 salesmen struggled for a while to do it"

Charles F., TX (2014 Lexus RX 350 3.5-L V6)

"Bluetooth connects and disconnects constantly"

Anonymous, CA (2014 Lexus RX 450h 3.5-L V6 hybrid)
Radio

"The XMSirius satellite receiver is very weak and drops out continuously if any trees or clouds intervene, very disturbing. The radio display does not show the full name of an artist or song if it is too long for the display (my previous car, Nissan Altima, was far better). Add to that, the display for the heating/cooling is horrible. You can only see temp/fan/vent settings when you change them, which is distracting while driving. I find few good things to say about the electronics in general"

Frank S., FL (2014 Lexus RX 350 3.5-L V6)

"The radio stopped working; no audio at all. The radio was replaced by the Lexus dealer under warranty."

Janice W., TN (2014 Lexus RX 350.0 3.5-L V6)
Voice control commands

"Voice recognition extremely poor. Voice commands need to be spoken when car is not moving...road noise, however slight, is enough to confuse the voice recognition system"

Ronald D., CA (2014 Lexus RX 350 3.5-L V6)

"ergonomics are needlessly complex we finally gave up trying to use the voice control and telephone"

Kent S., CO (2014 Lexus RX 350.0 3.5-L V6)

"Just not effective"

Anonymous, FL (2014 Lexus RX 350 3.5-L V6)

Anonymous, CA (2014 Lexus RX 350 3.5-L V6)
