Anonymous, ON (2013 Mazda CX-5 2.0-L 4 Cyl)"We have needed to replace the brakes once every year or 18 months since the car was new. They just don't last very long. It costs about $1000 to replace them each time"
William W., VT (2013 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring 2.0-L 4 Cyl)"Was surprised at annual dealership check up that the brakes and rotors needed replacing. Had not encountered any problems/noises when braking, and car had about 30,000 miles. Seemed like low mileage for rotors needing to be replaced, and typically only need new pads with other cars I've owned"
Jeffrey C., MA (2013 Mazda CX-5 Sport 2.0-L 4 Cyl)"Considering low-mileage non-city usage, amount of brake service reqjuired is terrible."
Barrie D., ON (2013 Mazda CX-5 Touring 2.0-L 4 Cyl)"Had to do expensive repair of rear brakes. Rotors and calipers"
W C., NH (2013 Mazda CX-5 Touring 2.0-L 4 Cyl)"The rear brakes were shot after only 34,000 km so the dealership replaced them on warranty"

Anonymous, NJ (2013 Mazda CX-5 Touring 2.0-L 4 Cyl)"This vehicle had the rear brakes and rotors replaced and within months the brakes pulsated again under anything more than light braking. This is the second time since the vehicle was new it has done this. And it only has 55,000 miles. Brakes and rotors do not last."
Anonymous, ME (2013 Mazda CX-5 Touring 2.0-L 4 Cyl)"I heard a squealing noise coming from the rear. I took it in to the dealer, and they said that the brakes needed to be replaced"
Anonymous, NJ (2013 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring 2.0-L 4 Cyl)"This is the second set of rotors. They warp quickly and produce a vibration with braking"

Elizabeth W., IA (2013 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring 2.0-L 4 Cyl)"Early failure of front rotors due to corrosion issues. I live in New York state."

Theresa K., GA (2013 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring 2.0-L 4 Cyl)"For over a year the brakes had a rubbing noise coming to a stop. Mazda said the brakes were fine, perhaps a crust of rust on outer rotor. Sanding them didn't help. Eventually got tired of it and had a full brake job done. Serviceman said brakes were essentially worn out at 40,000 km. No brake noise since."
Anonymous, ON (2013 Mazda CX-5 Sport 2.0-L 4 Cyl)
