William D., NJ (2015 Mazda CX-5 Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Has USB port but the system takes far too long to recognize an added drive/device or read files on it. Also does not keep the last played track when interrupted - defaults to first track on device every time"
Robert B., OR (2015 Mazda CX-5 Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Useless USB iPhone (iP) support. Each engine power cycle, long ~5sec nav start-up to get Blue-tooth (BT). Anonymous, OR (2015 Mazda CX-5 Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Gps was lost - telling me I had arrived when I was still a quarter mile away. The traffic never works - on a recent trip to San diego the Gps estimated travel time at 2.2 hours the actual time was 4.5 hours"
David B., CA (2015 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"the GPS is from Tom Tom. It gets you from point A-B but does not take you on a direct route as requested. It takes you off a highway and puts you on, runs you through a neighborhood then back onto a main road. It is extremely poor"
Julian K., OR (2015 Mazda CX-5 Sport 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The vehicle would not start on 2ocassions...with new batteries ,we had a CAA connect in the vehicle mazda HO techs felt it was drawing juice from the battery ...a little bizarre ,they had it for a wk ,gave it back to us all has been fine for the last"

Eric I., MI (2015 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"I have been unable to update the maps and there dealership has been unable to help. I've found that most dealerships treat the electronics as if they're not really part of the car and are not knowledgeable in their use."
Anonymous, NC (2015 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The dealership was not able to fix this so we just disabled it."
David S., PA (2015 Mazda CX-5 Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The GPS began freezing about 15 months after I purchased the car. I had to bring it to the dealership to have the software updated for $50 -- there didn't seem to be a way to update it otherwise, and it simply stopped working in the middle of a trip. I would have been lost without my smart phone."
Ann T., NY (2015 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The system, like many others, does not always provide appropriate directions. Also, the maps are supposed to be updatable but I have been unable to do that and, once again, the dealership can provide no help."
Goldstein S., NC (2015 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"the in dash system is unreliable. It either freezes or fails to load requested destinations. We discontinued using it."
Anonymous, WA (2015 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Nav system does not show compass direction the car is traveling"
Anonymous, WA (2015 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The directions would mostly get your there but many times it would take you on a very circuitous route. This was not all the time. Mazda dealer would tell you to contact the TomTom provider, who would come up with all kinds of excuses. However, they have improved but they now know that Mazda is not using them any more and I am hoping this will not degrade the service to my car"
Julian K., OR (2015 Mazda CX-5 Sport 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The GPS malfunctions. It picks odd routes and loses track of settings"

Morton A., CA (2015 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The bluetooth tells me when I have a text message, but gives an error to download whenever I try to get it to read the message to me, or display it on the screen. Bluetooth also takes about 20 seconds to connect every time I start the car"
Steve B., MI (2015 Mazda CX-5 Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"I cannot shuffle my music when I pair my iPhone 6 with the bluetooth. The car just organizes the music alphabetically and disables any repeat or shuffle options. It also randomly goes into phone call mode when I attempt to play music. I have to d"
Leah P., NC (2015 Mazda CX-5 Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Pairing was inconsistent. Sometimes it worked, other times it did not."
David S., PA (2015 Mazda CX-5 Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The success with which the pairing occurs seems random. The icon that indicates pairing appears at start-up, so if I'm not paying attention to the dash screen at that point, I may not notice that it hasn't appeared. I may be in the car & assume that the pairing is active, only to find that it's disconnected, & re-pairing may take several tries."
Ann T., NY (2015 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The system simply stopped pairing with my phone. Any time there is an issue with any part of the infotainment system, the dealers just act as if that is not part of the car and it is the owner's problem too fix. Unacceptable."
Goldstein S., NC (2015 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Bluetooth continuously switches from car to phone, back to car, endlessly. Called dealer, advised to unpair and re-pair. Otherwise call some 800 number. Haven't called but unpairing and re-pairing doesn't work. Also, text to voice has never worked with iOS devices."
Robert G., OK (2015 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Hands free phone calls are intermittent in audio because the Bluetooth defaults to playing music app from the smartphone. Only 2 remedies 1) go through manual Bluetooth disconnection of music on Mazda audio system EACH time car is started. Or 2) always disconnect from any audio app on your phone before getting in the car. Dealer claims its because electronics unable to update/are outdated. Either way, it means one is choosing to either listen to music via Bluetooth and ignore calls or lose out on option to make or answer calls if music is preferred. To toggle between options requires too much attention to electronics settings and is a distraction from driving."
Anonymous, WI (2015 Mazda CX-5 Sport Unsure)"Bluetooth module had to be replaced"

Joseph S., FL (2015 Mazda CX-5 Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Voice recognition is piece of junk. Takes tons of efforts to say the same name over and over again before the software can recognize the correct name. I consider it a driving hazard. My wife has the same problem. Also the interface can use better optimization to use button as a backup when voice recognition failed or a combination of voice recognition and button so the driver is not stuck with a failed voice recognition loop"
Anonymous, TX (2015 Mazda CX-5 Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Clicks back and forth between the phone and the vehicle. Drives me crazy. Dealer blames it on Apple"

Julian K., OR (2015 Mazda CX-5 Sport 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Giving directional commands has been a problem. While driving to Detroit last week, I tried to tell it multiple times to drive to an address on Woodward and it didn't recognize the street. Had to manually enter the info"
Eric I., MI (2015 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Voice command is a veritable joke. It continually misinterprets the commands so that I have to pull off the road to manually input the info. It is setup so that the GPS is inoperable while the car is moving so that my passenger is also unable to input any info. The unit is a $2000 piece of junk and I have reverted to using my $100 Garmin"
J D., FL (2015 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The commands you give to get the system to dial the number from your downloaded address book is just impossible. First, every time you turn off the car, the address book is lost. Every time you get into the car it has to download it from the cell phone. When you say the command phone, call and the name, many times it won't recognize it and offers several alternatives. Then you have to start again. Many times you just have to give up. Going through the systems with the above and the respon"
