What Owners Say
"Really fun to drive. Tight turning radius and very peppy."
Arthur L., NJ (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Acceleration is strong, particularly considering it's a 4 cylinder driving a vehicle of this size. Nimble handling also belies the size of the vehicle. Braking is very secure."
Cottingham J., VA (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Handles very well for an SUV. Although a turbo 4 cylinder it has sufficient power. Very quiet on the road particularly with acoustic glass."
Anonymous, BC (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Small engine but outstanding acceleration using all nine gears..."
Anonymous, CA (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Strong acceleration whenever needed, no matter how fast I am going. Nimble, inspires confidence, drives much like a car. Still, it's handling pales in comparison to my 2015 Mazda 6 and the 2008 Infiniti EX35 and 2008 Acura TL I had. It's a jacked up wagon, the jacked up part compromises handling, with the left and right sway that comes with being on stilts. With the 19" run flat tires tires and no air ride suspension, sometimes the front wheels take pot holes and freeway bridge joints surpri..."
Anonymous, KY (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Love the handling of the car. Great acceleration."
Jim G., OR (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Very fast off the line which is of great assistance when changing lanes or passing. This vehicle is an absolute joy to drive."
Anonymous, SC (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Acceleration and handling ok but find it a very rough ride"
W F., FL (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"In the S and S+ mode it is very responsive and stable in the turns."
Anonymous, BC (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"The turbo 4 ended up to be a pleasant surprise in terms of performance. The 9 speed auto had much to do with the excellent acceleration and highway performance. Really liked the air suspension that provided excellent handling and multi-mode ride settings."
Anonymous, FL (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"The figures ordered make this car outstanding in curvy mountain driving"
Anonymous, CA (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Smooth ride, can dial in sport handling, has great acceleration and good handling for an SUV"
Anonymous, VA (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"too many recalls and gas mileage for a 4 cylinder should be better"
Christine C., MA (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Acceleration is effortless and smooth. accelerates quickly. Handles well which makes maneuverability easy safe."
Anonymous, PA (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"When we first purchased our GLC, it had an occasional twitch or shudder in the steering when hitting large bumps in the road. After doing some research online, we found this was a commonly reported issue with these vehicles. We inquired at the dealership and discovered that a software update for the steering was available. WOW...what a difference! The car is much more stable now and drives like a Mercedes should...stable and confident, with great handling. We're now enjoying the GLC more than ever."
James W., WI (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"The acceleration leaves me a bit underwhelmed, especially when used during overtaking. Perhaps that's because my other car is a Tesla. But it handles beautifully. One downside is when on automatic cruise control, it doesn't handle sharp corner very well (compared to the Tesla) and brakes very abruptly when approaching slow traffic."
Greg T., OR (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"The handling is very good and stable. The acceleration is quick and responsive."
Anonymous, MD (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"The various combinations of gear ratios and engine provide the responsiveness I like."
Steven B., OR (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Great engine, steering, handling and fantastic breaks"
Gio L., TX (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"acceleration performance"
Anonymous, MA (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Acclerartion good Quick handeling responsive"
Anonymous, TX (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Remarkable acceleration for a 4 cylinder engine, especially in the sports modes. Handling is crisp, accurate and predictable"
Jacob S., AP (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Very fun car to drive. Smooth and extremely fast acceleration. Steering is so precise. Car is very easy to handle. I love driving this car!"
Karen H., VA (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Quick and powerful acceleration and precise handling. Excellent sterring"
Vern H., TX (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Mercedes can not resolve a problem with road noise"
Howard W., MA (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Strong acceleration and fun to drive."
Anonymous, KY (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Run flat tires suck."
Robert P., NH (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"This is an extremely stable vehicle. The cross-wind stabilization system works wonders to keep outside influences from pushing the car around in difficult conditions. While traversing on I-80 in Wyoming last February we had 60 mph cross winds on this mountainous icy road with blowing snow - it was steady as a rock at 50-70 mph."
David M., WA (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Great handling on twisty roads; fun to drive. Good acceleration, including when going uphill. Seems very powerful for a 4 cylinder engine."
Anonymous, CA (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Good visibility & Handling"
Anonymous, CA (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Very good acceleration and handling."
Mallikarjun V., CA (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Fun to drive. Very quick, corners well. Gas mileage could be better but a very nice vehicle."
Stephen L., MI (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"When driving, I am able to easily place the car exactly where I want it to be placed. Very powerful and easier to handle than any car I have owned. Makes me feel confident."
Louis J., NY (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"acceleration is remarkable, given the small displacement of the engine. The paddle shifters work well and are used mostly for downhill engine braking. In automatic mode, the car is a little tardy on shifting, say on an uphill switchback. Manual mode solves this issue."
Anonymous, CA (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"good, very good a take off from 0 mph to 60 mph and to accelerate a high speed very quick as well as shifting from 2nd to 9th gear. bad, nothing so far."
Anonymous, CA (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Very smooth with large number of gears. Drives like car not a truck. Handles well. Don't like the auto-shut off of engine at each stop... usually forget about it, but driving stop and go through NYC, I always turn it off. It's more annoying for the passengers who feel the on/off than the driver."
Anonymous, NJ (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Has power when needed and is very responsive in handling, with good control"
Anonymous, CA (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Powerful acceleration and quick responsive sterring."
Vern H., TX (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"The acceleration is excellent. I suspect this is due to the 9 speed transmission."
Michael C., CO (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Acceleration is jerky and hesitant"
Peter S., TX (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Impressive handling, variety of driving modes, good acceleration for a relatively small engine"
Anonymous, IL (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"The nimbleness and ease of driving is quite pleasurable. It is precise, quick, fast when I need it to be, all without being losing any comfort or control."
Anonymous, TX (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"The acceleration is very good for a 4 cylinder engine. The handling is excellent for an SUV type vehicle."
David P., PA (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Performance vs mileage is very good. Turbo kicks in smoothly and quickly for merging and passing"
Barry S., PA (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"The car is very fast from 0-45. I know because when I am on Scottsdale city streets, I am the first one to hit the speed limit. It is so fast, that I dislike being behind other cars. While driving the Phoenix freeways, the car has excellent freeway merging speed."
James S., AZ (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)"Just about perfect."
Anonymous, ON (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)
"Very quick acceleration for a 4 cylinder car. This SUV is very responsive in traffic"
Vern H., TX (2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC)
