The Mercedes-Benz GLC luxury compact SUV is updated, with a freshened exterior, more powerful engine, latest infotainment system, and added safety features. The 2020 model is distinguished with new headlights, grille, and front bumper design. The base engine is a 255-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder with a nine-speed automatic transmission, boasting a 14-hp increase in output. The SUV features the new MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system that uses artificial intelligence to customize the driver’s experience and can interpret natural language commands. We found that the last GLC we tested was quite enjoyable. It had a comfortable ride and handled with athleticism. The tastefully appointed cabin was quiet, with comfortable front seats. AMG 43 and 63, with turbo V6 and V8 engines, are available as well. The related coupelike SUV, the GLC Coupe, received the same updates for 2020.
