Road Test

When it comes to fuel consumption, the Mariner Hybrid is among the stingiest SUVs we'd tested (26 mpg overall). As a result, it shows its age in lack of agility, noisiness, and an unsettled ride. Interior fit and finish of this version are improved over earlier models but remains lackluster. Virtues include a lot of interior room, easy access, and good visibility. A rear-view camera was optional.
