I have never had this occur on any vehicle I've ever owned before - almost 50 years of driving. I've noticed the same problem on many Altima's, especially the darker paints (charcoal, black, red) here in New Mexico. The clear coat is also chipping off of the front door handles which are used almost exclusively. The rear seat door handles don't show this wear."

At 145000 km 3 wheel bearings failing and are noisy whining. Cost over $1000 to replace. Spark plugs need replacing and cost over $600. Ridiculous costs and poor quality wheel bearings. Trading in on 2019 RAV 4 Hybrid but still waiting for delivery that is why I reported 0 km. Overall 2010 Nissan Altima is a low quality vehicle."

"As I noted previously. Spark plugs were to be replaced as a normal maintenance item but at a quoted dealer cost of $600 I refused. Unbelievable cost for spark plug change. The engine is a 3.5 litre V6 so they have to tear half the engine apart to get at firewall side plugs. Very poor design."
