What Owners Say
"Good acceleration, comfort."
Mark S., WV (2011 Nissan Murano)"Excellent handling and acceleration. Outstanding in the snow and poor weather. Very sure footed."
Andrew R., ON (2011 Nissan Murano)"The CVT transmission takes some getting used to but it works fine. Have not yet replaced the belt, and not sure how much that will cost or how difficult it will be. V6 accelerates well."
Alex C., OH (2011 Nissan Murano)"Great acceleration for it's engine size"
Anonymous, MD (2011 Nissan Murano)"We live in Colorado and are on Vail pass frequently. It handles well in snow and is quite comfortable."
Katie F., CO (2011 Nissan Murano)"front wheel drive always seems to cause tires to spin upon accelerating from a stop no matter what tires i have put on"
Robert S., FL (2011 Nissan Murano)"Accelerator has always been sticky-you have to push on it a ways before it engages and then it takes off too quickly. Other than that, it drives great."
Ruth M., FL (2011 Nissan Murano)"Very good excellaration and handeling."
Glenn L., DE (2011 Nissan Murano)"Tight cornering and handelung"
Anonymous, NM (2011 Nissan Murano)"Everything about it us excellent, power, milage, comfort, roominess, cornering, pulling ability, convenience of features,"
James F., OR (2011 Nissan Murano)"Highway ride is extremely smooth, very secure feeling. In town, handles somewhat like a truck; very wide turning radius, requires some strength to manuever.."
Anonymous, MD (2011 Nissan Murano)"It drives well - accelerates fine, brakes well. The only issue is with the continuously variable transmission. If you back out of a garage or driveway you have to keep your foot on the brake at all times or it will continue to roll whereas older vehicles transmissions don't cause rolling."
L S., CA (2011 Nissan Murano)"One of the nicest vehicles I have ever owned."
ROGER W., NV (2011 Nissan Murano)"I drive only 1,500 miles a year and enjoy the response and handling. Easy for an old man to enter and exit."
Anonymous, PA (2011 Nissan Murano)"The sales person that I dealt with made me feel very comfortable when negotiating the cost of the vehicle. For the amount of what the monthly lease is and the very small amount of down payment, it is head and shoulders the other small SUV's or Cross Over vehicles."
STEVE A., MA (2011 Nissan Murano)"The constant velocity transmission (CVT) requires some time to adjust to its shifting--or lack thereof. During acceleration, you seldom notice the transition between gears as is experienced with a traditional transmission. This is actually a great feature, but it can give the impression that the vehicle is not accelerating as quickly as its conventional counterpart. CR reports on the light steering and it is light. The issue here is that it will take some experience to learn the feel for handlin"
MARK R., NY (2011 Nissan Murano)"Do not care for the CVT transmission. Will not purchase another auto with this kind of transmission."
GARY E., TX (2011 Nissan Murano)"The acceleration is excellent for this vehicle. This is my wife's car and she really likes it. I do not prefer to drive a SUV because of the larger size. Maneauvering and parking in town can be a pain. Highway driving is fine. I prefer to drive my coup most of the time because of the more nimble handling."
BRIAN R., AR (2011 Nissan Murano)"I love driving the Murano, it's smooth, can't complain about the acceleration. Love the CVT. The gas mileage isn't anything to write home about. As I understand the new Murano's gas mileage has improved."
JACQUELYN D., TX (2011 Nissan Murano)"It is impossible to tell where the front of the car is because of the styling. I have been driving it for 5 years and still don't know. I've had at least 5 or 6 cars before this and never had this as a problem"
Anonymous, PA (2011 Nissan Murano)"The vehicle handles like a car, but has the power of a full-sized SUV. It accelerates smoothly and drives extremely well on the highway. It is definitely a great cross-over SUV to own."
Anonymous, MD (2011 Nissan Murano)"Rapid acceleration and handles well"
Anonymous, FL (2011 Nissan Murano)"Handles beautifully. Car seems to remain relatively level on sharp turns, where previous vehicles we've owned "tip." Superior acceleration."
PETER H., MO (2011 Nissan Murano)"Extremely comfortable ride, great acceleration. A pleasure to drive"
Anonymous, PA (2011 Nissan Murano)"Lots of power. Unfortunately gas mileage is about 21.5 mpg over all."
Patrick C., IL (2011 Nissan Murano)"The Murano has very smooth acceleration and has great handling"
Russell E., DE (2011 Nissan Murano)"Good acceleration"
Anonymous, ON (2011 Nissan Murano)"Good acceleration, still peppy after 84k miles. Best handling SUV I have driven."
Anonymous, OH (2011 Nissan Murano)"Horsepower and ride"
Dan D., IL (2011 Nissan Murano)"like that it does not make shifting noise, very smooth, very hard to see blind spot"
Anonymous, CO (2011 Nissan Murano)"For a mid size SUV, the Murano corners and accelerates very well."
Anonymous, MS (2011 Nissan Murano)"Turning radius on such a big car is outstanding."
Anonymous, NY (2011 Nissan Murano)"Acceleration to get onto the highway. Gas mileage could be better"
Paul L., RI (2011 Nissan Murano)"The CVT detracts from the overall response to accelerator inputs."
Anonymous, VA (2011 Nissan Murano)"Comfort and handling."
Wm F., CA (2011 Nissan Murano)"Handles well. Pretty good acceleration and braking. Fair mileage"
Anonymous, CA (2011 Nissan Murano)"Has lots of acceleration"
Randy W., OH (2011 Nissan Murano)"AWD works well on wet and winding road surfaces. Acceleration is good (using premium fuel) and handling responsive"
Daniel P., TX (2011 Nissan Murano)"I think the CVT (transmission) does a good job and the car accelerates nicely. Handling can be a bit mushy."
Anonymous, VA (2011 Nissan Murano)
"it is very responsive and handles extremely well"
Craig P., TX (2011 Nissan Murano)
