"On a trip and without any indication of an issue, the brakes began grinding at 48,500 miles. The left rear pads were worn down to the point of metal on metal. Upon inspection in a repair shop, the rear pads and rotors needs to be replaced. With limited life remaining on the front brakes, we went ahead and had all fours rotors/pads replaced. I had expected the tell-tale squealing to begin as the pads wore down. Did not happen."

I never really had much of a phone problem in my older, Nissan manufactured, 2011 Infiniti G37XS, so I'm surprised that occasionally the Murano has glitches"

"E-mail just started working regularly with the last software update to the car. Until then, e-mail would only work maybe once per month. No one at Nissan could figure out why. They blamed the phone, but obviously it wasn't, with it working with a new software update to the car. Also, the advertising for the Murano implied that there would be multiple apps. There is only google search, which works great when it works, which is about 90% of the time, but from time-to-time it won't connect"

"Phone pairing is intermittent. Sometimes the system pairs with the phone and sometimes it doesn't, and if it does not connect, it will not do so until the car is turned off and then back on again. This is VERY ANNOYING, and it has nothing to do with the phone, which pairs with my wife's Lexus RX350 as well as with other Bluetooth/WiFi sources EVERY TIME without fail. This NissanConnect system has had issues since the day I picked up the car, and it's very frustrating"

"For several months the stations would change when I turned the car off. A few other things occurred occasionally. Instead of replacing the radio unit my extended warranty required it to be removed and sent in to be repaired. I had to do without my radio, navigation system and phone connection for 6 weeks. It did come back in perfect shape."

"It has the CVT so it doesn't actually shift however the transmission was jerky when acceleration and slowing down. They looked up the serial number and it was a faulty part but the dealer said it was a pretty major issue. Fixed under warranty"

"I felt that the problem was probably my fault as I drove thru a car wash and shut the motor off. Upon starting the vehicle (have to put foot on brake & start vehicle, the process took too long and had to shut down carwash so I could start vehicle) Took to dealer they discovered there happened to be a recall for this problem! Solved my problem at no cost to me!!"

"Had problems with shifting at low speed. Nissan dealt with it through the computer and some mechanical work. Was told that the next repair would be a new transmission if needed. That is certainly not the kind of news I want to hear for a car w 72000 miles and an excellent maintenance history."

"I experienced a slight 'jugging' at low speeds a couple of times. Though the dealership could not replicate the problem, the on board computer had recorded the problem. The dealership replaced a part of the CVT promptly and remedied the problem."
