Dodge also alerted us to the problem, sending an mail also stating the code for the Electronic Throttle Control. We took it to the dealer the next day and they had it for a few days, said they fixed it but on the way home it again lost acceleration so we immediately took it back. They kept it for over two weeks claiming that they were trying to find out the issue and eventually concluded it was the electronic throttle control, which is what the diagnostic code was telling me all along. They fixed it and it has been fine since. During this time, we had to get a rental car and the local Dodge Dealership said the rental car would be covered since the truck was still under warranty. When we submitted the rental car expense, Dodge initially reneged on this but then when we pressed them on this, they gave in, 'just to be nice' they said."
