What Owners Say
"Occasionally the camera just doesn't work. If I turn off and restart the engine, the camera works again. I learned from an on-line community that it could be because I put the car into gear too quickly after starting the engine, before all of the s"
Catherine D., PA (2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Limited 2.0-L 4 Cyl)"The camera would not function 1/10 of the time. They replaced and it works fine"

Anonymous, MD (2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Premium 2.0-L 4 Cyl)"I bought Subaru's high end navigation system (added over $1000 to the vehicle cost). The gps navigation system never worked properly and often gave incorrect directions or couldn't even find the destination in its database. Then, the included CD player stopped working - the CD eject motor remained permanently engaged and so new CD's could not load. Now I can no longer connect my iphone through the USB port to play music, podcasts, audible books, etc. through the car's sound system. Finally, I cannot connect any new phones to the Bluetooth feature. Subaru's electronics are primitive, buggy work poorly and break down quickly. I refuse to go back to Subaru and pay thousands more dollars to have them fix everything that is wrong with their "premier" navigation product (ha ha)."

Anonymous, NV (2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Premium 2.0-L 4 Cyl)"After listening for some time (which varies quite a bit) the radio will begin to squelch at maximum volume. Which will scare the crap out of you if not prepared. Currently when the radio drops out we will immediately turn it off for the rest of the trip. Again this problems occurs probably 5 or six times a year starting two years ago."
Anonymous, WA (2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Limited 2.0-L 4 Cyl)"The voice command menus are convoluted; entering commands for phone numbers via voice is far more complicated that it needs to be; too often phone numbers get entered incorrectly, and need to be completely reentered when this happens"
John B., ON (2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Premium 2.0-L 4 Cyl)"None of the voice commands work, even with multiple attempts from multiple people. We have never once had a single command work. This includes screen freezing during trying to dial a call (bluetooth), radio tuning off and on spontaneously, intermittent static and random noise from the audio system, and radio playing simultaneously during a phone call (bluetooth)."
